You can’t have balance without Lance and my name is Lance C. Shirley. Born and raised in the County of Dade, Miami , FL; Liberty City to be exact. I graduated from Miami Northwestern Sr. High School and Florida A&M University. I majored in Criminal Justice for all the wrong reasons and discovered, like most, I’d make more money working jobs that had nothing to do with my field of study. I guess I developed a passion for the arts from my father, Michael. My pops was in theater when I was a kid and I remember going to some of his rehearsals and seeing him on tv doing re-enactments on Crime Stoppers. Nothing nostalgic about any of this but to try and put and things into perspective, I’m still writing , rehearsing and performing the only story I can tell so vividly, my life. I’ve played roles in several short films and stage plays and I can honestly say the phrase “when you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”, is the absolute truth.
